We SAVE Indonesia successfully organized the Beach Clean Up & Planting 1000 Mangroves program, a landmark environmental initiative that brought together students, volunteers, and local community members from across Nusa Tenggara Barat.
The program aimed to restore coastal ecosystems while raising awareness about the importance of environmental stewardship. Hundreds of mangrove seedlings were planted along the coastline, contributing to long-term shoreline protection and marine habitat restoration.
Participants also engaged in beach cleanup activities, collecting waste and debris from several kilometers of coastal area. The event was documented and recognized at the provincial level, contributing to We SAVE Indonesia's 2024 achievement recognition.
"Every tree we plant today is an investment for the next generation," said the program coordinator. The success of this program has inspired plans for an even larger coastal restoration initiative in 2025.
